Please read this disclaimer carefully before using any information on this website. rentalhospitalbed.com is an independent online directory that helps families and caregivers find hospital bed rental suppliers in Florida. We are not a medical provider, insurance advisor, Medicare representative, or rental broker. The information on this site is provided for general research and informational purposes only.
1. Medicare Acceptance Information
1a. What “Accepts Medicare” Means on This Directory
Where a supplier listing displays a Medicare acceptance status, this indicates only that the supplier has represented to us – through direct correspondence conducted in winter 2025/2026 – that they work with Medicare as a payment pathway for qualifying hospital bed rentals. It has the following specific, limited meaning:
- The supplier has indicated they are enrolled as a Medicare-participating or non-participating DMEPOS (Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies) supplier, or that they assist patients in utilizing Medicare benefits for rental costs.
- It does not mean that your specific rental will be covered by Medicare.
- It does not mean that Medicare will cover the full cost of your rental.
- It does not mean the supplier’s Medicare participation status has not changed since our last verification.
ℹ Medicare Does Not Cover the Full Rental Cost Medicare Part B typically covers 80% of the Medicare-approved rental amount for qualifying durable medical equipment, after your annual Part B deductible has been met. You remain responsible for the 20% co-insurance. Additionally, if a supplier charges more than Medicare’s approved amount and is a non-participating supplier, you may owe the difference (known as excess charges). Your total out-of-pocket cost depends on your specific Medicare plan, any supplemental (Medigap) insurance, your deductible status, and the supplier’s billing arrangement. |
1b. What You Must Verify Directly
Before renting from any supplier based on Medicare acceptance data shown on this directory, you must independently confirm:
- That the supplier is currently enrolled and active as a Medicare DMEPOS supplier (enrollment can be verified at medicare.gov/care-compare)
- That a hospital bed rental qualifies under your specific Medicare plan and medical circumstances – Medicare requires a physician’s order and documented medical necessity
- Your current deductible status and expected co-insurance amount
- Whether the supplier is a participating supplier (accepts Medicare’s approved amount as payment in full) or a non-participating supplier (may charge up to 15% above Medicare’s approved amount)
- The exact amount Medicare will approve for your rental, and the supplier’s actual charge
1c. How We Collected and Maintain This Data
Medicare acceptance data on this directory was collected through direct email correspondence with each listed supplier during winter 2025/2026. Where a supplier did not respond to our inquiry, the listing displays “Status Unknown” rather than assuming acceptance or non-acceptance.
We review and update this data annually. For suppliers who have claimed or purchased a paid listing, we contractually require them to notify us of any change in their Medicare participation status. However, changes can occur at any time — including between our annual reviews — and we cannot guarantee that all listings reflect the supplier’s current status at the moment you view them.
ℹ How to Check a Supplier’s Current Medicare Status Visit medicare.gov/care-compare and search for the supplier by name or zip code. This is the official CMS database of Medicare-enrolled DMEPOS suppliers and reflects real-time enrollment status. Always use this resource before making any rental decision based on Medicare coverage. |
2. Pricing Information
2a. How Pricing Data Was Collected
Pricing information displayed on supplier listings was obtained primarily through direct correspondence with each supplier (approximately 95% of pricing data), with the remainder sourced from information publicly available on suppliers’ own websites. This data was collected in winter 2025/2026.
Prices shown represent the information provided to us at the time of collection. They are intended to give you a general sense of the price range in your area and help you compare suppliers – they are not quotes, and they are not binding on any supplier.
ℹ Always Confirm Pricing Before You Order Hospital bed rental pricing can change at any time. Prices may increase or decrease due to equipment availability, supply chain costs, changes in the supplier’s business, or other factors outside our control. Never place a rental order based solely on pricing shown on this directory. Always contact the supplier directly to obtain a current, confirmed price before committing to a rental. |
2b. What Pricing Data Does and Does Not Include
Pricing shown may represent:
- Monthly rental rates for a standard semi-electric or full-electric hospital bed
- Base rates that may not include delivery, pickup, mattress, rails, or other accessories
- Rates that may vary based on the specific model requested, rental duration, or your geographic location within the supplier’s service area
We do not represent that pricing shown is inclusive of all fees, taxes, or ancillary charges. Always request a fully itemized quote from the supplier before agreeing to a rental.
2c. Our Update Commitment
We update pricing data annually through direct outreach to all listed suppliers. Suppliers with claimed or premium paid listings are contractually required to notify us if their pricing changes materially. Despite these efforts, we cannot guarantee that pricing shown at any moment is current, complete, or accurate.
3. Our Role as a Directory
3a. We Are an Independent Information Resource
rentalhospitalbed.com is an independent directory. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting as an agent of any listed supplier, Medicare, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), or any government agency. Listing on this directory does not constitute our endorsement of any supplier’s services, quality, licensing, or compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
We do not:
- Book rentals or facilitate rental transactions on behalf of any supplier
- Process payments for rentals
- Guarantee the availability of any equipment or supplier service
- Verify that listed suppliers hold all required licenses, accreditations, or insurance
- Provide medical, legal, insurance, or financial advice
3b. Paid and Claimed Listings
This directory offers three listing tiers: free standard listings, claimed listings (fee-based), and featured/premium listings (fee-based). Suppliers with paid listings have entered into a contractual agreement with us that includes requirements to maintain accurate listing information. However, paid listing status does not imply any additional endorsement of a supplier’s services, and we cannot guarantee that paid listing suppliers are more reliable, qualified, or appropriately priced than non-paying listed suppliers.
Listings marked as “Featured” or “Premium” reflect a commercial relationship between this directory and the supplier. This is disclosed clearly to visitors.
3c. No Liability for Supplier Actions
We are not a party to any transaction, agreement, or rental arrangement between you and a listed supplier. Any dispute, billing issue, equipment problem, or service failure is solely between you and the supplier. We encourage you to:
- Research suppliers independently before renting
- Verify licensing and accreditation with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) or relevant regulatory body
- Request written confirmation of all terms, pricing, and Medicare billing arrangements before signing any rental agreement
- Report any concerns about a supplier’s conduct to the Florida AHCA or CMS
4. Educational Guides and Digital Products
This website offers free and paid educational guides to assist families and caregivers with the hospital bed rental process. These guides are provided for general informational and educational purposes only.
4a. Not Medical Advice
The content in our guides – including any guidance on bed setup, positioning, side rail use, caregiver ergonomics, or patient care – does not constitute medical advice and should not be treated as a substitute for professional medical guidance. Every patient’s situation is unique. Consult your healthcare provider, occupational therapist, or physical therapist for advice specific to your patient’s medical condition, mobility level, and care needs.
4b. Professional Review
The safety and ergonomics content in our paid guides has been reviewed by a licensed occupational therapist for general accuracy and alignment with standard practice guidelines. This review does not constitute a clinical recommendation for any individual patient’s situation, and the reviewing professional is not liable for how the content is applied in any specific care setting.
4c. No Guarantee of Outcomes
Following the guidance in our educational materials does not guarantee the prevention of injury, caregiver strain, equipment problems, or adverse outcomes. Care environments, patient conditions, and individual caregiver capabilities vary significantly. Always exercise judgment appropriate to your specific situation.
5. Accuracy and Currency of Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that the information on this directory is accurate and up to date. Despite these efforts:
- Supplier information (contact details, service areas, pricing, Medicare status, availability) can change at any time without notice to us
- We do not independently verify that suppliers hold required licenses, certifications, or Medicare DMEPOS accreditations beyond what suppliers have self-reported
- Supplier ratings, reviews, or reputation indicators (if any) reflect information available at the time of listing and may not reflect current performance
- Geographic service area information is provided by suppliers and may not reflect every location they serve or have stopped serving
We update directory listings annually and require paid listing suppliers to notify us of material changes. If you believe a listing contains inaccurate information, please contact us and we will investigate.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, rentalhospitalbed.com, its owner(s), and any contributors shall not be liable for:
- Any financial loss arising from reliance on pricing information displayed on this directory
- Any unexpected Medicare costs, billing disputes, or coverage gaps arising from reliance on Medicare acceptance data displayed on this directory
- Any harm, injury, or adverse outcome arising from the use of any supplier listed on this directory
